Measure around the base of the neck where a collar sits. Keep two fingers under the tape for a comfortable fit.
Chest (girth)
Measure the widest part of the chest behind the front legs. Most important measurement for harnesses.

Labrador
Broad chest and powerful shoulders. Many Labs fill out until 18–24 months. No-Pull or padded harnesses recommended. Check chest room over winter coats.
Staffordshire Bull Terrier
Muscular neck and deep chest. Choose sturdy, padded harnesses and avoid rubbing under the forelegs. If between sizes on chest, always go up.
French Bulldog

Dachshund

How do I measure my dog for a harness?
Measure the neck just above the front shoulder blades below where a collar sits, and the widest part of the chest behind the front legs. Keep the tape snug but not tight — you should be able to fit two fingers underneath. The chest measurement is the most important for harness sizing.
What size collar does my dog need?
Match your dog's neck measurement to our collar size ranges. If between sizes, choose the larger for comfort. Always measure your dog's neck directly rather than measuring an existing collar — collars stretch over time and will not be accurate.
Do dogs in the UK need engraved collars by law?
Yes. The Control of Dogs Order 1992 requires a collar with the owner's name and address when in a public place. Our personalised engraved collars satisfy this requirement — your dog's name and your contact details are engraved directly onto the collar, so no separate tag is needed.
Which harness style is best for my breed?
Active pullers benefit from a front-clip No-Pull harness. Smaller breeds and dogs who dislike things over their head often prefer Step-In styles. Dachshunds should always use a Step-In or chest harness to protect their long spine. Use the interactive tool above for a tailored recommendation.
My dog is between two sizes — which should I choose?
For harnesses, always size up — a slightly larger harness can be adjusted snugly, while a too-small harness cannot be adjusted at all and can cause discomfort. For collars, choose the smaller size if your measurement is near the bottom of the larger size's range, as collars should fit snugly.
Can I personalise every product?

When to size up or down
If your measurement sits at the very end of a size range, size up for harnesses and choose the smaller band for collars. Always check chest room for deep-chested or stocky breeds like Staffies and French Bulldogs.
Troubleshooting fit
Rubbing near the forelegs? Lower the chest strap or try a Step-In. Collar rotating or slipping? Adjust smaller or try a narrower strap width. Pulling on walks? A front-clip No-Pull harness can significantly help with heel training.
